You can. We handle women's health issues and provide a full range of gynecological care at Family Health Care of Ellensburg. We also offer a female physician, Dr. Stephanie Brower, along with all of our board certified physicians, to handle your women's health needs.

What are Shared Medical Appointments (SMA)?

SMAs offer an interactive, informational approach to healthcare. During a typical 90 minute session, roughly 5-10 patients (depending on diagnosis), with similar healthcare needs, meet with one of our skilled physicians for a medical appointment. The act of providing an appointment in a group setting, rather than alone, creates a sense of camaraderie and brings patients together as they work toward meeting their healthcare goals. What roles do Physician Assistants (PA)/Nurse Practitioners (NP) serve and how do they benefit my care?

Our PAs/NPs practice medicine and deliver high quality care under the direction and supervision of physicians. Our physicians work hand in hand with our PAs/NPs to create a continuous flow of care for you and your family. Because of the close working relationship the PAs/NPs have with doctors, their education was designed to complement physician training and they have been formally trained to provide a full spectrum of services in the primary care setting. They examine patients, order tests, diagnose injuries and illnesses, perform minor procedures, provide medical treatment, write prescriptions, provide patient education and counseling, participate in research studies, and partner with patients in other ways to prevent disease and maintain good health. Our PAs/NPs often have a wider range of appointment availability and can offer same day appointments.

What procedures can I have done at your office?

We offer a wide range of procedures including, vasectomies, circumcision, colposcopy, allergy skin testing and many more. Please visit our "Services" page for a more detailed listing.
